Dr. Fei-Fei Li
Fei-Fei Li is the inaugural Sequoia Professor in the Computer Science Department at Stanford University, Co-Founder & Co-Director of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute, Co-Founder and board member of AI4ALL, Co-Founder & CEO of World Labs, and author of The Worlds I See: Curiosity, Exploration, and Discovery at the Dawn of AI. Her current research focuses on cognitively inspired AI, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, robotic learning, and AI+healthcare. She served as the Director of Stanford’s AI Lab from 2013 to 2018. During her sabbatical from Stanford she was Vice President at Google and served as Chief Scientist of AI/ML at Google Cloud. Her groundbreaking work on ImageNet, the first big training and benchmarking dataset in AI, was instrumental in catalyzing the onset of modern AI. She holds a B.A. in physics from Princeton, a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Caltech, and an honorary doctorate from Harvey Mudd College.
